Designed in London for the street.
We’re a London bike brand making wheelie bikes, big BMX and BMX for riders who wheelie, swerve and ride their city every day. Every one is designed with care, and priced fairly every day.
WHO WE ARE
Collective started in London in 2015 with a problem Barney Pauley couldn’t let go of. Barney was a young BMX rider Jay Stratton was sponsoring at the time, and he kept seeing kids buy cheap BMXs with bad geometry and weak parts. The bikes broke, and the kids gave up riding. Nobody was making a real BMX at a price they could afford.
So we set out to build one. After a lot of testing with materials and specs, the C1 launched for under £200: a proper BMX you could do real tricks on. That idea, real bikes for real riders, is still behind everything we make.
From there we followed the streets into BikeLife with the C100, a bike for everyone. Jake100 was the face of its launch, and in 2017 rider Ryan Taylor came on board as a partner. We’ve since worked with Nike, New Balance, Adidas, Jordan, Puma, JD Sports, Burberry and Sony Music. Still independent. Still in London.
HOW WE DESIGN
Nothing by accident.
Every Collective is designed in London, and every decision on it has a reason. We research how riders really ride, what breaks and what could be better, then obsess over it until it’s right.
Geometry first
How a bike lifts, balances and swerves starts here. We refine it with riders until it feels right on the street.
Engineered where it counts
Pegs on the axle punish frames, so we designed our own removable-dropout peg system. Every part earns its place.
Graphics with meaning
From the finish on the frame to every post we put out, nothing is there to fill space. It all means something.
Pedal bikes. Full stop.
We’re a purist bike company. No electric conversions, no shortcuts.
COMMUNITY
Community first. Always has been.
It’s the thing people say about us most. We don’t run sales. Instead, we give bikes away to riders in the community, and we always have.
We’ve worked with NASS and FISE to push BikeLife towards recognition as a sport. And when we turned up to BikeStormz, we brought a burger truck instead of a stall and gave away 1,000 free burgers to the people who built this scene.
