Which stem fits my bike?

  • Steerer: both stems clamp a 1 1/8 inch (28.6mm) steerer. That is the standard on almost every modern mountain bike fork, including tapered forks, which are 1 1/8 inch at the top.
  • Bars: the ST1 takes 31.8mm and 35mm bars. The S1 takes 31.8mm bars, like our 750mm riser bar.
  • Not for 22.2mm BMX bars, or for 1 inch threaded steerers on older bikes.

ST1 stem, 35mm

CNC-machined from 2014-T6 aluminium billet. Opposing steerer clamp bolts and a two-piece, no-gap faceplate so it stays tight. Stainless steel bolts. Black, chrome, gold, purple or oil slick.

S1 stem, 50mm

Forged 6061 aluminium for strength and fatigue resistance. Four-bolt bar clamp for 31.8mm bars, 40mm stack, 10° rise, 195g.

Why a short stem

A wide bar on a short stem gives you leverage and quick, precise steering, which is why dirt jump, trail and wheelie riders run them. It is also one of the cheapest ways to change how a bike feels. Match it with an HX1 headset, or see the stem and bar fit guide.
